The Wake-up Call I Didn't Know I Needed
July 09, 2026

ā Even the best systems can't replace honest accountability.
ā Three conversations completely shifted my perspective.
ā Success isn't about doing it alone⦠it's about who walks beside you.
Hi {{first_name}},
I had a wake-up call this week.
Actually... THREE of them. Speak of back-to-back calls! š Just a different kind.
Together, they completely shifted the way I'm thinking about my work, life, and business.
If you've ever found yourself running so fast that you didn't realise you'd drifted off course...
You'll probably relate.
Because here's the funny thing about burnout, hustle, and unhealthy habits: they rarely arrive all at once.
They creep in quietly.
One late night.
One skipped workout.
One "I'll rest after this project."
Until one day...
Someone you trust gently holds up a mirror⦠and suddenly, you see everything differently.
Today, I want to share what happened.
Because I have a feeling you might need this reminder as much as I did.
When Life Holds Up A Mirror
Hey, even I, the productivity & planning queen, am not immune to āthe driftā.
Lifeās current. The momentum and automatic behaviour that seeps in without you noticing, unless you have someone call you out on your BS.
Hereās what happened, literally all in ONE day.
Mirror #1 ā Jessi
This week, I joined Jessi Jeanās Yap Challenge, which has already made my mind go š¤Æš¤Æš¤Æ
I realised that the way Iāve been showing up for you on social media is far from the value I have to offer.
If you know me in real life⦠you know Iām a butt-load of fun. A little bit weird, and VERY nerdy.
But Iāve been hiding these parts of myself behind the awkwardness of looking into a camera and trying to figure out the āperfectā thing to say.
Well, thatās about to change around here. BTW ā if you want to follow along for the journey, make sure you follow me on Instagram @viktorialevenberg!
Mirror #2 ā Uncle James
I received a hot AF š„ hot-seat coaching call from my biz mentor, James Wedmore (whom I prefer to call Uncle James), that turned my entire business upside downā¦
His words exactly: āLook⦠Productivity is a tough sell.ā
At first, I wanted to argue. Then I realised⦠he wasnāt talking about āproductivityā. He was talking about human behaviour.
I mean⦠case-in-point, right?
Yāall are here, in my world, busy and running on empty⦠but youāre too busy to get less busy.
Itās the snake thatās eating itself!
Iām still processing that conversation and what it means for the future of my business, which youāll definitely be the first to hear about.
(Random side-note ā if youāre open to a quick 15-min. chat for me to learn more about you, your struggles, and what youāve tried that has/hasnāt worked, please hit āreplyā and let me know!
Iāve been having 1:1s with incredible women this week, and these conversations have been illuminating. Truly, this 15-minute chat ā which is NOT a sales pitch ā is helping me figure out how to best serve and help you.)
Mirror #3 ā Cam
I had āthe talkā with my partner.
And no, I donāt mean the āstop leaving your socks next to the laundry basketā kind.
I mean the one where he very kindly and lovingly reflected something Iād been unwilling to admit myself: the way I was working⦠wasnāt working anymore.
Yeah⦠that was a tough one to sit with.
Because while I designed the most pristine planning system in the world⦠Iāve been so hyper-focused on getting it out to as many struggling women as possible⦠that I totally forgot about myself in the meantime.
It was like in the space of 12 hours, The Universe took me by the shoulders, turned me upside down, gave me a good shake, and said āGood luck with that!ā.
What a ride!
I kid you not, by the end of that day I was so damn exhausted that I slept for 12 hours and then still woke up tired the next day.
(Well, TBH thatās because it was also Day 1 of my cycle, which ā if you havenāt heard me speak about yet⦠is equivalent to the āWinterā energy⦠i.e. you tend to be more tired, need more rest, and itās a PERFECT time for introspection and self-reflection.)
And introspect and self-reflect I did!
As I reflected on where I'd drifted... I realised something that felt both incredibly obvious and deeply uncomfortable.
None of us can see our own blind spots. Not consistently.
No matter how āself-awareā we think we are.
And that's why coaching matters. Not because someone has all the answers, but because they can see what we cannot.
I veered off-course⦠got lost⦠and fell back into some unhealthy (yet very familiar) habitsā¦
You know the ones Iām talking about: working late, half-listening to my loved ones while plotting my next move, turning everything in our life into content inspiration, and slowly sacrificing my own personal time & hobbies to squeeze that extra piece of work inā¦
Thatās when I remembered: long-term success isn't built through willpower alone. It's built through coaching, accountability, and people who lovingly hold up a mirror when you've drifted.
Because if it hadnāt been for Jessi, James, and Cam⦠I wouldāve probably kept going, blindfolds on⦠until life threw me the boulder again.
And Iāve had enough of those. Iām maxxed out for this lifetime, please and thank you.
Now, why am I sharing such a hot-off-the-press and deeply personal story with you this week?
Because I know that in some way, the same thing applies to your life right now.
Maybe youāve fallen back into an unhealthy pattern ā whether itās with your work, your self-talk, your habits, or your relationship.
Maybe you havenāt even noticed because youāve been running so damn fast.
And my hope for you is that you have a great coach and accountability partner to help you see clearly again.
I wouldnāt be where I am today without mine.
If Iām your person, GREAT.
Youāre receiving this e-mail because something attracted you into my world ā whether itās the fact that Iām the productivity, planning & organisation QUEEN š, the fact that I bring a different perspective to this industry which is like a breath of fresh air, or my random quirks⦠youāre here.
Youāll be hearing from me very soon about what Uncle Jamesā words of wisdom have cultivated in my work, life, and business.
So that I can help you get your time (and life back).
And in the meantime⦠take a look around you.
Who are your supporters?
Who are your wayshowers?
The people who cheer you on, hold a loving mirror up when you need it, and show you the way when you canāt see the forest through the treesā¦
Treasure them.
And those naysayers?
Block, delete, and mute.
Speaking of boundaries⦠Hereās a tiny trick that completely changed my life:
If you use WhatsApp, you can āmuteā people without them knowing about it!
Simply click + hold their name and select the āMuteā button. That way, you donāt get notified *ehem* triggered every time they text you.
It was a game-changer for me.
And this weekās episode of the Resonance Podcast is right on-topic: The 4 Essential Questions to Ask Yourself Before You Say āYesā To Anything.
Give it a listen, and let me know what you think.
So this week... Pause.
Ask yourself: āWhere have I drifted?ā
āWhat habits have quietly returned?ā
And āWho in my life has permission to lovingly tell me the truth?ā
Because success isn't about never going off course.
It's about noticing⦠and having people who help you find your way back.
To your inevitable successs,

P.S. Are you someone who says yes before you've even had a chance to think about it? Do you find yourself overcommitted, stretched too thin, and wondering why everyone else's priorities seem to come before your own?
This episode of the Resonance podcast will show you how to create stronger boundaries, make decisions from a place of alignment rather than obligation, and build more spaciousness into your life, work, and relationships.
