I Dare You to Do Nothing This Week
October 22, 2026

✅ The #1 thing you're avoiding is your prerequisite for success
✅ The rule I keep breaking, and why it's far from sustainable
✅ Your official permission slip for this week
Hi {{first_name}},
I'm intentionally keeping this short n' sweet this week.
This is your official permission slip to chill the f*ck out and rest.
Stop clearing through your inbox.
You don't need to be "on top of it all".
The 32 unread text messages can wait.
Urgency is a construct of the mind. And it's one you can choose to opt out of.
I always battle with trying to "earn" or "justify" my rest. Like it's only allowed if I've worked extra hard or am depleted to the brink of exhaustion.
It doesn't take a genius to see that's *far* from sustainable. Because rest isn’t a reward. It’s a prerequisite.
And even then, it can be so tempting to use that so-called "rest" time to catch up on e-mails, messages, and the 17 Facebook groups you're part of. Right?!?!?!
So as I sat down to write this week's newsletter (which is due today, so my incredible VA can make sure it lands in your inbox)... I decided to lead by example.
It's been a LONG week (my part-time corporate gig demanded full-time availability... on top of day-to-day biz maintenance & everything else).
I just spent the last 2 hours recording video content for you (btw – make sure you follow me on IG if you don't already!).
I'm pooped. 😴
Hence, there are no "3 steps", "5 signs", or in-depth explorations of how you can reclaim your time to live a life of fulfilment and joy in today's newsletter.
Just... a permission slip to rest.
So, go on.
Put your feet up, close your eyes, take a big belly breath... and do whatever the f you want. I dare you.
Watch how uncomfortably rebellious you feel putting yourself first for a change.
If you accept the challenge... hit "reply" and tell me: what’s the one thing you’re NOT doing this week so you can rest?
Warmly,

P.S. What if losing weight isn't actually about the weight?
On Resonance this week, I chat with Food Relationship Coach Lizeth Lanz about emotional eating, diet culture, body image and why restriction and control may not be the answer.
