Iāve been fascinated by human behaviour for as long as I can remember.
While I didnāt pursue psychology professionally, I found myself drawn into high-performance corporate environments: fast-paced, demanding, and relentless.
And there was one pattern I couldnāt ignore. The way we approached productivity was completely disconnected from the person doing the work.
Weād run personality assessments⦠Myers-Briggs, DISC, you name it.
But when it came to actual performance?
The expectation was always the same:
āDo more. Faster. With less.ā
Except that advice was missing a critical piece of the puzzle.
No nuance.
No flexibility.
No consideration for how DIFFERENTLY weāre wired.
And thatās where everything started to unravel.
Because the āhowā matters just as much as the āwhatā.
For example, I have a client who thrives on a carnivore diet.
Me? That would absolutely wreck my system.
(We wonāt go into details⦠but letās just say my gut would NOT be impressed.)
And productivity works the same way.
What fuels one personās performance⦠can completely block anotherās.
So, because Iām a sucker for all things productivity & organisation, I started experimenting, studying, and connecting the dots.
And what I discovered became a cornerstone of everything I now teach: leveraging your Achievement Archetype is essential to working smarter, not harder.
Itās about understanding your natural rhythms & quirks⦠and building your system around that.
Now, before you roll your eyes and think:
āWhatever, Vik. Iāve read all the productivity and time management books, and none of it has worked so far. How is *this* any different?ā, let me chime in here.
Youāre right. None of it has worked so far, because most advice out there is generic, bland, and boring.
Itās like saying, ājust eat healthyā. Yeah, no shit, Sherlock.
But this is different, because this is about YOU.
Your natural tendencies.
Your default patterns.
Your internal operating system.
Think of it like your unique constitution.
Once you understand it⦠everything starts to make sense.
Here are the four most common Achievement Archetypes:
š The Achiever
Wired for results, but running on overdrive. Constantly under pressure and striving for the next thing (often at the cost of their health⦠and free time).
š¤ The Thinker
Analytical. Insightful. But prone to overthinking and mental overload.
š« The Giver
Supportive. Reliable. The one everyone leans on⦠often leaving themselves depleted and totally overcommitted.
š The Initiator
Creative. Visionary. Full of ideas⦠but craving structure and consistency. Motivation is their primary driver, which quickly runs out before they move onto the next thing.
As you read these⦠you might notice yourself nodding, or hearing a quiet voice say, āthatās so meā¦ā You might even see parts of yourself in more than one.
Thatās normal.
But usually⦠one stands out.
