Resonance – Episode 63
Verbatim Transcript
Speaker: Viktoria Levenberg
Most people are the NPCs of their own life. Like, they're just a guest in this whole system. Is, like,
a vision board enough? Unfortunately, 20 years later, you're like, whose life is this? You are not a
static being. Achieving your goals is literally inevitable. Just be prepared for the fact that
sometimes life's gonna throw little pebbles, boulders, or maybe even, like, a freaking
thunderstorm your way. If the dream is in you, it is for you. Dare to dream.
Can you imagine having clarity on your big life vision, your goals, with a step-by-step roadmap of
actually how to get there? And I'm not just talking about, like, the next goal, the next milestone,
the next year. I'm talking about your big-picture life vision.
Well, in today's episode, you are gonna learn the planning formula that we should have been
taught in high school so that you can stop flying by the seat of your pants. Is it seat or seam? I
don't know. Is it so you can stop flying by the seat of your pants or the seam of your pants, and
live from a place of alignment and intention?
So, with that in mind, let's dive in. And if you know whether it's seat or seam, please DM me on
Instagram at Viktoria Levenberg, because I would love to solve this for myself once and for all.
And, yeah, I could Google it, but you know what? It's more fun this way.
Welcome to Resonance, the podcast for high performers and entrepreneurs who wanna do life,
work, and success differently. I am your host, Viktoria Levenberg, and I'm obsessed with
efficiency, productivity, and planning in a way that harnesses your energy and your natural
rhythms while keeping you in alignment and integrity. Because I have figured out that lasting
success is not about the hustle. It is about being in resonance. Let's begin.
Okay, be real with me for a moment. Have you ever felt like you are living in someone else's
shoes? You know, like you're just blindfolded, doing the thing in your routine, and then all of a
sudden you wake up and you think, how did I get here? Who—who is this person? What a—
what?
And if you've ever felt that way, I just wanna acknowledge you, because I see you. It is okay.
There's nothing wrong with you. This is more common than you think. In fact, most people live
their life this way. And you see, the problem is that you were never actually taught the planning
formula that keeps you anchored in your life, to your big life vision, to the core essence, the truth
of who you are, and ensures that you stay pristinely aligned from the macro to the micro view of
your life.
And if you're wondering, like, I don't even know what I want. How do I—what? You're still in the
right place because, again, most people don't know how to ask these questions, how to create
these plans. We're just here like, oh, I guess this is good enough. I'll move in this direction. And
then, unfortunately, 20 years later, you're like, whose life is this?
So, if any of this resonates with you, you're gonna love this episode. And what I love about what
I'm about to share with you is that it's not static. It's not like you commit to this for the rest of
your life, and that is the only timeline you ever get to live into. No, no, no, no.
What we're talking about here is a plan that evolves with you. It grows with you as you evolve, as
you become a new version of yourself, as you learn, new opportunities and new things come up
for you.
So, by the end of this episode, you will know the exact planning formula that is gonna help you
create a life of intentional design so that you can achieve your biggest, wildest goals, actually
organise your life, and live it like you are so damn proud of it and enjoying it to the max. Let's dive
in.
Here's what's making me really sad right now, is that here we are. I don't know if you're a
millennial. Maybe, like me, you're a millennial. Hey, Gen Z and Gen X is in the house. I see you.
Look, I'm just gonna speak to the millennials here for a second, because I feel like we grew up in
this age where we saw all these people zombeing through their life and just grey, unsatisfied,
grumpy, just miserable, always complaining. And that was just kind of their life. And we're like,
surely it can be better than that. Surely we can do better.
And then we had all these hopes and dreams, and we were sold the dream, right? Do good at
school, and then you're gonna get a really great job, and then you're gonna get a house, and
you're gonna get married, you're gonna have the kids, you're gonna have the best life ever.
And then fast-forward to, like, our adult life as millennials. All of a sudden I'm like, oh my God,
we're repeating the same pattern. I can see it. And I'll be the first to put my hand up, is that, like,
sometimes if I don't have a Black Mirror to hold it up to me, lovingly be like, yo, yo, yo, you're
straying here, get back in alignment, that it's just so easy to get to.
So many people are living their life on autopilot, just not even aware. It's like—and you know, um,
in video games you have these NPCs, non-player characters. It's like most people are the NPCs of
their own life. Like, they're just a guest in this whole system. And, oh my God, it breaks my heart
because it is so sad.
And a big reason why this happens is because they don't know how to plan their dream life. They
don't even—they don't even know what they want. They don't even know what their dreams are,
because they're so indoctrinated into whatever they were told by their parents, by their teachers,
by their bosses, by society, whatever is rewarded on social media, or they got a gold star for
school at. And they've lost connection with the core essence of who they truly are.
And that's, hmm, like, it makes my heart ache, to be honest. And so today, I'm really giving you
the planning formula that we should have been taught in high school. I didn't say—come up with
that saying. One of my clients said this on our call when I taught them my signature Plan Your
Dream Life process. And their feedback at the end of that call was—shout-out, Rob, by the way,
you're the best—he said, “I wish we got taught this in high school, because everything would
have been so different.”
And I genuinely do believe that there is a future where a lot of the frameworks and—and the
distinctions and the tools that I'm sharing with you now, like, they will ripple out on a bigger
scale. And, you know, you're also meeting ourselves where we're at.
So this is a pretty special time to be just, like, small and intimate and growing and—and
discovering who I am and what this business is becoming. So, in the meantime, before this is
common knowledge and available in every publicly and privately organised school education
system, you get to hear it here first on Resonance.
And—and so, planning your dream life. You might be like, wait, is, like, a vision board enough? Oh
my God, I hear that all the time. It's like, so you told me to plan my dream life. Is a vision board
enough? Like, nah. No, it's not. Sorry to burst your bubble.
It's a great starting point, and it's probably where I would guide many people who are, like, super
lost and have no idea even where to begin. That would probably be where I would, um, invite you
to start, especially if you're the type of person who's more of a visual processor and you do really
well with imagery.
Vision boards are great as a starting point. However, when I say planning your dream life, there's
so much more to this, and I'm gonna distil to you exactly how it works.
So, the first things that really require you to plan your dream life effectively is to get super clear
on your why, your big vision, your values, what's important to you. And that takes a bit of
introspection. That takes a bit of radical self-honesty. And again, this is why most people don't do
it, because it's, yeah, it's simple, but it's not easy to do. It takes accountability.
And that's why having a coach and a community that is on that same journey with you, and can
hold your hand and guide you on your way, is so damn impactful.
And, like, I was speaking to a friend quite a while ago now who was telling me about how he's
been searching for his purpose for, like, multiple years now. And it didn't sit right with me,
because you're already fulfilling your purpose simply by being, simply by existing right here, right
now. You are alive in this moment. That is it. That's what you came here for.
You are here to be a human being. And I know that we all strive, and I'm also a Type A achiever. I
love to achieve things, and we're like, what am I here for? It was like the—the Barbie song, what
was I made—
And the truth is, it's not just, like, this one thing. It is every little interaction, the way you show up
in the world, the kind of friend, the kind of partner, the kind of colleague, the kind of parent that
you are, the way that you smile to the barista when they serve you your coffee, when they've had
a really rough day.
All of these little things compound into you living into your purpose. And yes, of course, there's a
bigger piece around, like, I guess how you show up in the world and what you choose to do with
your life. And, um, you know, for most of us, we need to make money to deliver on our life and
pay the bills and all the things.
And so, of course, it would be great to match our purpose with the way that we generate income.
And let me tell you something. The reason that you're not making the level of income, whether
it's in your career or whether it's in your business or—or wherever it else it is that you are
craving, it's because it's not in alignment with your purpose.
This might be a tough pill for some of you to swallow, but trust me, like, when you actually align
with what you are here to do, everything gets easier.
And, like, I'll be the first to put my hand up. Like, yeah, I'm here running a business, building a
business, testing different offers. I'm not profitable yet. I am not, like, selling out my offers yet.
And yet every little step, every little action piece, helps me steer in the direction of where I'm
meant to go next.
And I know to listen, because the points of friction and resistance is, like, life saying, nope, don't
go here. It's trying to readjust me. And then when things flow easily and naturally and
authentically.
I'm like, okay, cool. This is where we're meant to be going. This is—this is what we're doing.
And I'm not to say that, like, you're not gonna have to do hard things, right? 'Cause, like,
resistance can show up for us personally. And what I'm saying, I'm not speaking about resistance,
like, when you're scared to do something and you have—you're in your stuff. I'm talking about
resistance in the sense of, like, no matter what you do, even though it's by the book and you're
ticking all the boxes and you're doing everything perfectly, it's still not happening.
That's probably 'cause it's not happening for a reason. Like, sorry. I, again, my experience with,
like, the story I shared a few weeks ago with my webinars, right? Like, it just—it wasn't meant to
be quite that way. The universe is like, just, just, just adjust a little bit slightly to the—this side,
and then—and then easy. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Anyways, I digress. So basically, first, before you even plan your dream life, you need to really get
clear on that big-picture vision first. Like, what's your why, your vision, your values, and, like, the
overarching dharma?
And if you are the type of person that's, like, for the third year trying to figure out your purpose,
you're probably overthinking it. Um, and again, this is why coaching, community, these sorts of
containers are so powerful, because it's actually super easy. Um, but the overthinking is what's
gonna keep you stuck in safety, and it's actually a procrastination methodology.
So anyways, I'm just gonna let that one park light. Okay, so once you've got those foundations in
place, then the second piece is to get really clear on what you want from life.
And this is where, like, I encourage my clients to go big. Like, F realistic. You can achieve—if the
dream is in you, it is for you. You can literally achieve anything in the world that you set out for
yourself.
I'm gonna tell you something: that if, when you are planning the vision for your dream life, it
doesn't scare you shitless, you're doing it wrong.
And I'm gonna be the first one to put my hand up that my big life vision, like, when I flushed that
out, I'm like, oh my God, how? Don't worry about that, okay?
Like, my manifestation teacher, Emily Fletcher, is amazing. She always says, you gotta get clear on
the what and the why, and then let the universe take care of the when and the how, okay?
Because quantum leaps are possible. Anything is a reality just waiting to manifest itself. Like,
there is literally limitless potential in the quantum field. Physics is proving it.
So, if the dream is in you, it is for you. If you can think it, if you can imagine it, you can create it.
It's only a matter of, like, are you willing to give what it takes to get there, you know?
And—and this is where it's like, just—just let yourself dream. Just let yourself go big, you know? I,
I, I love stretching my clients in this space.
Like, um, you would have heard from Ava a little while back now, when she came on to the
podcast. She's actually coming on next week again. She's coming back. I'm so excited for this side
tangent. I'll share a little bit more at the end of the episode.
But when she was talking about, like, her big dream being to, you know, host and facilitate
retreats, right? And so I was kind of like, well, imagine if it wasn't just the one retreat. What if it
was, like, 20? What if there was venues all over the world? What if this became a movement that
inspired so many people? What if this grew even bigger than you even have the capacity to
fathom, to imagine?
Imagination. When did we kill imagination? When we were seven.
So, like, just spend some time with kids. They're just, like, in that subconscious, imaginary la-la
state all the time. Like, give yourself permission to think about the la-la outcomes, and just don't
underestimate the power of your capability and the power of the universe.
And when those two things come together, and they are underpinned by a solid, amazing,
integrated, aligned plan—oh, inevitable success.
Because this is then the kind of missing piece that a lot of people don't have. Like, some people
will vision board. Some people will, like, manifest and think about their dreams and—and journal
and do all these things, but they don't actually do the Plan Your Dream Life process.
And, like, I obviously keep the details of it gated with my communities, and it's a whole thing, and
we do it together in a workshop, and it's amazing, and it's, like, so groundbreaking.
But in essence, what you're doing is you're zooming out and seeing the whole big picture of your
life. I'm not just saying the next year or the next five years or the next 10 years. No, no, no. I'm
saying, like, the whole big picture of your life.
And I'm sorry to say this, but, like, death is real. Like, we all have an expiration date.
Just this week, at the time of the recording of this episode, I was faced with a death in my kind of
extended circle, and it was, like, a little mind-eye-opening moment of, like, man, just the
impermanence of life.
And so, as soon as you can get really honest with that and start to see that big picture with your
why, your vision, your values, what you want from life, you can then start to work towards that.
And so, the way I teach my students to do this is, as I mentioned, like, this big-picture vision. We
have all the categories, like, not just your career or your business or, like, you know, finances, but
we're talking, like, family, relationships, health, hobbies, like, all the things, okay?
And there's a specific process and a way in which you can do it that helps you get so clear on
your dream life that then serves as the foundation to map your current year.
And this is the missing link, you see. Like, I'll see a lot of people start with the big life vision.
They'll do the little vision board, and then they'll plan their days day to day. And then around New
Year's, they're like, oh, I still didn't do that thing I wanted to do for 10 years.
Yeah, because it never made it onto the to-do list. Because if you're just navigating yourself from
day to day or week to week, running on empty, you're never going to have time for these things
that are seemingly not urgent, not important, when they're actually the most urgent, most
important things, because they're the things that create the foundation of your dream life.
And so, I've spoken about this on the podcast before. I'll link it up in the show notes, the nested
planning episode, because that planning framework is just such a game changer.
Like, when you can take your dream life, which I've just described to you now, kind of the high-
level process of how you can get there, and then you map that with your current year using the
nested planning framework that I teach, that literally takes you from the big-picture macro to the
micro view of your life, and it funnels down into your day to day.
And then you combine that with coaching, accountability, community—oh my God, anything
becomes possible, okay?
And here's the thing. Like, if you're one of those people who's like, I don't want to commit to that
because I don't know, like, what if it changes? I get it. Of course. That's exactly why it's a rhythm.
It works in a cycle.
That's why you revisit this Plan Your Dream Life process every single year, because you today are
not the same person that you were yesterday. And, of course, you today is not gonna be the
same person that you will be in a year from now.
You're gonna have new opportunities. You will have had new experiences. You would have had
new learnings. You are evolving, growing, and your plan gets to grow and evolve with you.
And, like, you know, I'll be, again—let me be your little wayshower here—that it is totally okay to
change your plan. It is totally okay to pivot, to scratch it out. Like, you are not a static being.
You are literally the nature of Shiva consciousness. Like, that is kind of us. Our essence nature is
to constantly experience itself as itself. We are constantly exploring new ways of knowing
ourselves, of exploring different angles and perspectives through which we can view the world.
And so, of course, your plan gets to evolve with that.
My Plan Your Dream Life process, like, the first time I came up with this, by the way, like, this is
just a little side tangent situation, but, like, I just think it's so cool.
Because when I came up with this, I came up with this six years ago, um, for myself, for my life.
And never, ever in the history of my life would seven years ago now—oh my God—would 2019
Vik have imagined that seven years later this would become a movement and something that I'm
sharing with others so that they can get clear on how they can make their big life goals and vision
a reality.
And that's—I think that's pretty cool.
And the reason I went on that tangent is that the first plan that I built ended up getting
completely scratched about 12 months later.
So just be prepared for the fact that sometimes life's gonna throw little pebbles or boulders or
maybe even, like, a freaking thunderstorm your way that is gonna change everything. It's gonna
change your priorities. It is gonna change the way you show up in the world. It is gonna change
what you want in life.
And I had that. And, to be honest, actually, the big reason behind that was because I was
sleepwalking. I was living someone else's definition of success, chasing a dream that wasn't even
mine. And that was so confronting.
And yet, like, even since then, as I've evolved, there are, like, areas that things have changed in
my plan, and it will continue to do that. And it will continue to do that for you too.
And this is why these rituals are something we come back to time and time again. This is why I
put so much emphasis on it in my coaching programs. And this is why I also put so much
emphasis on sustainability, community, and following through with these rituals on a regular
basis.
And so, I just wanted to give you, like, an example of what I do in my real life, okay? Like, just to
show you how this works.
So, let's say the Plan Your Dream Life process, it gets done, like, once a year. I sometimes—I do it
twice a year if there's, like, a big change. And—and it's, it's a whole thing.
I just sit down with my little template, which is the exact same template that I give to my clients,
and put some music on, get the vibes, do the thing.
Sometimes I'll do a little vision board, maybe if I'm up for it. Like, to be honest, I've already had
this vision board that I have right now for the last few years, and it hasn't really changed
dramatically, so no need. But sometimes you might wanna do that.
And then, after I've got that kind of base plan, it—it's so clear because it all nests together. I, like,
sit down to do my annual planning ritual, and all of the goals are already there, all of the
direction.
It is so, like—I hate to say it, but, like, when you follow this process, achieving your goals is
literally inevitable. Like, you can't not get there if you follow the process. Like, it's just—it's
guaranteed success. That's—that's the cool part about it.
And it—it sounds a little bit boastful and a little bit cocky, but, like, proof is in the pudding, peeps.
Like, the podcast was on the dream one day. My yoga teacher trainings were on the dream that
I've done. My, um, marathons that I ran, meditation being a daily practice, my nutrition
qualifications, like, all these random things, starting my business, you know, like building my
financial freedom—all these things all started as this little seedling of an idea.
And so, from that annual planning ritual, I then nest it down into my seasonal, my monthly, my
weekly planning rituals, and my daily check-ins. And, team, this is what keeps me aligned.
And if it's possible for me, it is possible for you too. And if you are the type of person that right
now is like, “Vik, you don't understand. I don't even know what I want in life,” hear me when I
say, I get exactly where you're coming from. I've been there too.
And I'm gonna lovingly reflect that to you, because every person I've spoken to who has ever said
that actually does know what they want. They're just too scared to admit it to themselves
because that goal is too scary. It's too big. It's like, wait, I'm allowed to imagine this as a reality?
Yeah.
And it feels this way because you haven't had maybe someone that trusts this to be your future.
Maybe you haven't had someone in your life who is a supporter or a wayshower, who sees what's
truly possible for you, who sees that the dream is in you, therefore it is for you, therefore it is
already done.
And maybe it's because you haven't had a person who literally developed a step-by-step planning
process that makes bringing this dream to life inevitable.
And so, just let this be a moment to be gentle on yourself, okay? Like, you have a dream in you.
You know what you want. Maybe your ego and your conscious mind is, like, pushing it away, and
it's like, no, that's too big. That's ridiculous. I couldn't even—I couldn't dare think about that.
Dare to dream, okay?
For too long in your life, you've been told to take the box and stay there and be a good girl and do
what everyone tells you.
The way this process is designed to work actually helps you evoke the dream itself. So even if you
have a hard time doing that on your own, again, the way I've designed it, the way we do this in
our community, it's like, it is inevitable.
I—I have not had one person go through this process and be like, “I don't know what I want.” No.
You don't know—you do know what you want. You're just scared, and that's okay. Fear is a green
light that you're moving in the right direction.
And so, in a nutshell, you now have got the planning formula that we should have been taught in
high school. Because imagine if kids in those prime formative years got this process. Like, imagine
how much time and energy and suffering you would be able to save yourself, and, like, how much
more in alignment you would be with your life, versus just like, oh, you can—you have just
finished puberty, and now you need to make a major decision that is gonna determine the
trajectory of your entire life, but you have no idea how to do it. And here's this average career
counsellor that doesn't even know what they're doing with their own life, so who knows what
advice they're gonna give you.
Yeah. Yeah. Haha. Okay.
I'm gonna leave it at that.
So, look, in terms of your little action step, I would love, love, from the bottom of my heart, to
take you through the actual process.
Now, Efficiency Made Easy, which is my signature group coaching program, we do this together in
a live container, workshop style, where everyone's bringing their dreams to their table. We're
working through this. You've got the opportunity for coaching. You're in a community of like-
minded, high-achieving, ambitious women and people just like you, and people see what's
possible for you too.
And trust me, the energy of being surrounded by people who can see what's possible for you,
even in those moments when you're doubting yourself—man, that is magnetic.
So, it would be an honour and a privilege to invite you to join the priority list. The link is in the
show notes just below this video. It is no commitment. It is literally just putting your name on a
list so that you are the first to know when I open doors.
Because, as it stands at the recording of this episode, I'm still tinkering with exactly when it is that
I open doors. And my Spidey sense is telling me that only those on the priority list will be the
ones to find out this time, 'cause I've learned some lessons from my own goals and dream
pursuits, and I wanna make sure that you have the chance to achieve your biggest, wildest
dreams as well.
Thank you so much for listening to this week's episode.
As I mentioned, next week we've got Eva, one of my original founding members, coming back
onto the podcast. We're gonna talk all things cycles, and you are gonna hear from her how
learning the cycles of success and implementing that into her work life and her productivity has
really—I rocketed her results, and where she's like, “Oh my God, where is this engine coming
from?”
It is honestly, like, as she's one of my clients who had the—the biggest transformation with this
specific tool, and I'm really excited to bring her to you so that you can hear what's possible for
you too when you join us in our amazing community.
Alright. Thank you so much for listening to this week's episode. Have a beautiful rest of your
week. Bye for now.
If you're a high performer or entrepreneur who's got big dreams, and you've developed
strategies to get you closer to those dreams, but you feel like there are also parts of you self-
sabotaging your success, I built something just for you.
It is my signature Achievement Archetypes quiz that is absolutely free, takes less than two
minutes, and it will give you instant feedback as to where your Achilles heel is. That is your
natural self-sabotaging behaviour when it comes to productivity, planning, efficiency, and
organisation.
And it gives you your next right step and the solution you didn't know you needed. You'll find the
link in the show notes just below. Make sure you find your achievement archetype and let me
know what it is.
As a fellow achiever, I will be the first to put my hand up that I have now mastered my Achilles
heel, and I can't wait for you to do the same.
